Description
Dear Parents, Your child/children is/are a member(s) of one or more of Triton High School’s performing groups. These groups include marching band, concert band, color guard, winter percussion, winter color guard, drama, jazz band, jazz choir, singers, women’s select choir, men’s choir, TV production, and tech. Every year the Triton Music Parents Organization (TMPO) sponsors a banquet for members of these groups and invites students and their families to attend. Awards are given to all eligible students. Awards Banquet This year’s banquet will be held at the Black Swan Country Club. We are glad we have been able to keep the cost for parents, guests, and students the same as it has been since 2019 - $38 per person. Dinner will be served at 5:15, and the awards ceremony will follow immediately after the dinner. I see the difference it makes when you attend your children's special school programs. Your presence makes a significant statement to your child, and it gives you more insight into your son or daughter's school friends and teachers. One item of note: your son or daughter may not want to sit with you at the banquet. Students usually sit together at tables on one side of the room while the adults sit at tables on the other side! Awards and Scholarships We will be recognizing the achievements of our students through our award program, as well as our scholarship program. TMPO has set a goal of giving away $8000 in scholarships this year. (Any undergraduate receiving a scholarship will be handed a letter with instructions on using the award on lessons or camps. There are deadlines involved, so it is advisable for parents to be sure to read these letters, as well.) We are looking forward to celebrating our students, and we hope all will attend this elegant and lighthearted event. If you need more information, please contact Sue Densmore at 978-462-8171 x1130, or via email at [email protected]. See you at the banquet! Sincerely, Sue Densmore Program Coordinator, Department of Visual and Performing Arts Triton Regional High School
