Join us for the fifth and final (of the season) dining event in the Silverton Tour de Forks series! Launched this year, Silverton Tour de Forks is a unique community dining event that supports local nonprofits and allows you to travel the globe without leaving the comforts of our tiny little hamlet. Travel with us through food as we explore international cuisines. . . the April 4th event is celebrating France with a scrumptious French feast!For our fifth event, we invite you to enter the bistro with us as we enjoy le dîner. All gourmand/ gourmande (food lovers) will bask in the glory of this wonderful French menu.OUR MENU:Apertif : Chartreuse SpritzChartreuse's history dates back to 1605, when François Hannibal d'Estrées discovered a secret recipe that allegedly helped its consumers 'live a long life. ' We'll go over some of the history of this hard to source delicious herbal liquor.Start the night out with a little Chartreuse SpritzStroll the "plaza" and socialize with your communityRaffle prizes!Come early and indulge in your personal bottle of wine or creative cocktail from the cash bar Second Course- AppetizersBaked Camembert Cheese and Smoked Salmon CanapésBaked Camembert Cheese topped with various sweet & savory additions (pistou, fruit jams, & herbs, roasted garlic & honey) served with sliced baguette and whipped butterLittle bites- smoked salmon with whipped fresh cheese on a cucumber canapésMain Course : Bon Appétit! ( Enjoy your meal!)French Onion Chicken Breast served with AligotClose your eyes and you will be transported to French Auberge in the Southern France region of Auvergne. Vegetarian option of roasted carrots in French Onion sauce atop of AligotFourth Course- DessertPâte à Choux Cream Puffs topped with Chocolate GanacheAiry choux pastry filled with crème pâtissière and topped with luscious chocolate ganache. Fifth Course- DigestifA sip of CognacCognacs are born from a blend of terroir, know-how and passion, says Boileau. “The grapes from a specific region, double distillation in copper stills on an open flame, long aging process in oak casks, and the patience in terms of time all make cognac special. We'll go over some of the history of this special digestif as we sip and share good times. Doors and bar will open at 7pm. Dinner will be plated and served at roughly 7:30pm. Allons Y! (Let's Go!)
