Gangs 101The Sheriff's Chaplaincy Conference invites you to join us for a half day training seminar by IDOC's Deputy Chief Kurt Bensheimer on Security Threat Groups.This seminar will provide critical training for Chaplains, Jail Personnel, Law Enforcement and the general public.Deputy Chief Kurt Bensheimer is a 17-year employee of the Indiana Department of Correction. He has spent his career focused almost solely on gang activity in the Indiana Prison system and across the country. During this time, he has conducted hundreds of gang interviews, worked 5 successful RICO cases, and multiple VICAR cases. He has travelled to multiple other states across the country to train with their Department of Correction staff on gangs and gang management strategies. He is a Correctional Police Officer and Indiana Law Enforcement Academy instructor. The training seminar will take place on April 20th, 2023 at the Lawrence Police Department HQ training room located at 9001 E 59th St #200, Indianapolis, IN 46216. The cost for the seminar is $30 / person.
