This event will feature hands-on activities centered on our exhibit "Shaping a Nation: Tennessee Volunteers and the Mexican American War." Students will learn about medicine in the Mexican American War, pack a soldier's haversack, and learn about Tennessee's important role in this war.
Our homeschool days are designed to be come-and-go, with stations open until 1pm. We recommend you allow 1.5-2 hours to see all of the activity stations. Our event will continue rain or shine, but we do encourage rain jackets and/or umbrellas in the event on rain as our stations might be distributed across multiple buildings onsite.
