Start your babysitting business on the right foot and learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter. You can also opt to get certified in First Aid and CPR/AED. Babysitting courses are available to those ages 11 and older, and include topics such as choosing age-appropriate activities, basic child care, like bottle feeding, child behavior, leadership, professionalism, safety, starting a babysitting business, and more. Please note: Red Cross child care classes are not intended for those seeking certification for state-licensed child care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification. The Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED portion incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help infants and children up to 12 years of age. NEW Adult CPR Manikins with LED Light CPR Feedback, showing the blood flow to the brain when giving CPR correctly are used in our trainings. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a Red Cross certificate valid for two years.
