Celebrate Earth Day with Jackie Fallon, wildlife biologist, master falconer, and educator, who worked first hand in the recovery of the Peregrine Falcon species. She will bring a live peregrine to Quarry Hill to help tell the story of how the species recovered and was removed from the endangered species list! Learn why this raptor represents power, independence, and strength. Hear about their record breaking speed, and develop an admiration for their dedication as parents. (Recommended for ages 5 & up)
Animal Survival Game (Optional, Approx. 45 minutes)
After the program you're invited to try your hand at our Animal Survival Game. Enter Quarry Hill's outdoor game trails and use your animal instincts to help a threatened or endangered species survive for 10 days in the wild.
There is no fee for this program. Space is limited Advance registration is required (24 mo and older must be registered) Children must be accompanied by an adult. The Animal Survival Game is on unpaved trails through the woods. Distance of ½ mile.
