Description

Join us on April 16th at 1pm at the historic Sears Building for an exciting day at the museum with featured artists Alexander Arce & Emily Kray. Alex and Emily will be present at the exhibit, offering visitors the unique opportunity to ask questions and interact with the artists themselves. The artists will also give a presentation at 1pm! Their artwork is a haunting and powerful reflection on the remnants of life before the pandemic, and the ways in which we are all still grappling with the sudden shift in our world. Their pieces showcase the memories and remnants of a world that is no longer the same, set against the backdrop of familiar yet ruined structures. You will feel as though you are lost in a melancholic dream, as you explore the powerful themes and emotions that their art evokes. In addition to the exhibition, be sure to catch Alexander Arce on April 15th during the Capital City Film Festival closing reception, where he will participate in the inaugural CCFF poetry reading. This event is a unique opportunity to engage with two talented artists and gain insight into their creative process and the inspiration behind their work. Don't miss out on this rare chance to connect with artists who are shaping the conversation around the lasting impacts of the pandemic. We look forward to seeing you there!
