SECOND ANNUAL FLOWER MOON GATSBY BALLThe first dance was a tremendous hit so, coming again, in 2023, due to popular demand.... get ready!Don't waste any time, get your Flapper dresses, Zoot Suits and your glad rags ready, ditch your chaperone and join us for the Second Annual Flower Moon Gatsby Ball which is an evening of dancing, eating, and 1920s fun!On Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Longwood Community Center in the heart of the historic downtown area of Longwood, Florida you can dance the night away in a gorgeous space defined by sky high vaulted ceilings, polished wood floors, and decorative pendant lighting reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era.In this beautiful venue, that has the look of an old Victorian mansion, the sounds of energetic and exciting popular dance music from the 1920s through the early 1940s will be heard coming from inside. You will enjoy Charleston, Swing dancers and Lindy-hoppers, mixing it all together with Ballroom dancing to all the favorites of the era.The Z-Street Speakeasy Band will return as the evening's main attraction, along with DJ Rusty Phillips providing playing music between sets. Attire for this event is "formal (real tuxedos and formal dresses) and/or vintage dressed - like the era".
