Native Plants of Florida Friday, April 14, 2023 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Instructor: Eric Schmidt Join Leu Garden's Eric Schmidt for a walking tour of Florida native plants growing in the Garden. We will start in a class where handouts will be given out and a brief introduction about using Florida native plants in your landscapes. Eric Schmidt is the Botanic Records Specialist and a Horticulturist at Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando, FL. He maintains the accession database for the plant collection, keeps plants labeled, and helps oversee many of the collections and obtains new plants to be added to the collection at Leu Gardens. Eric has an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Horticulture from Valencia State College in Orlando, FL. Eric has been a member of the Leu Gardens staff for 30 years.    Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit.Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided.
