Description

On Wednesday May 3rd at 6:30PM, the Charles E. Kubly Foundation, Mel's Charities & REDgen are hosting a screening of the film "My Ascension" which follows the story of Emma Benoit and her survival of a suicide attempt while she was a teenager. This film is mean to inflict hope in those who may be struggling, especially teenagers and youth. May is MENTAL HEALTH MONTH, so this is an important time to raise awareness. We recommend coming to the event 15-30 minutes early to check in and get your spot. The film will start at 6:30PM and run until about 8PM with time for questions after. We will have mental health professionals on sight with resource tables. A school counselor/therapist will be present for a talk-back after the screening. MY ASCENSION is having a tremendous positive impact on youth mental wellness and suicide prevention. Here’s what students across the country are saying: "I think this may have saved my life", "It gave me hope for the future", "It made me realize I need help", "It made me realize that I shouldn't be ashamed". Click here to view a trailer of the film. We hope to see you there!
