The focus of the 2023 Regional Summit will be equiping you with the knowledge, skills, and resources to launch a team or continue as a valued member of one. Currently over 22,000 Student-Athletes participate in leagues across the country with leagues growing every year, this is an exciting time for kids and adult mentors in our regional to be apart of the fastest growing youth mountain bike program in the US. The Fall event season will run from September through November of 2023, with venues located throughout the state. Event Schedule - What's Included Here is our draft schedule for the weekend. Note that it includes two tracks - one with a focus on GRiT. We will be a stone's throw from some AMAZING trails in Emmitsburg, so bring your bike for an optional group ride in the afternoon on Sunday with post-ride refreshments (weather permitting). Includes breakfast and lunch on Sunday - there is a local dinner option on Saturday at the Vigilant Hose Company firehouse - an all-you-can-eat wing feast! All-female OTB Skills class on Sunday is an optional add-on and includes NICA Field Guide notecards. Registration fee does not include lodging. Please see information on optional lodging below. Veteran coaches - please consider attending - your input and insights are invaluable to newer coaches! This event will provide 5 hours of CEU's towards license level 2 or 3 if you have already completed a NICA leader summit. Lodging: If you are traveling in from out of town we recommend the Sleep Inn Emmitsburg - If camping with tent, van, or small tow-behind trailer, there is the Scott Road Farm which is located just a mile outside of town and avaible for MICL primitive camping. There are also numerous campsite options close by in Gettysburg or nearby Cunningham Falls State Park. More specific camping information will be available closer to the event.
