Join Queens Village Dayton as we come together to talk about the 4th Trimester and Maternal and Infant Health Policy with an amazing panel! Panelists include Dr. David Dhanraj, Lauren Braswell, DeShae Jackson, Moriah Brown, and 2 community parents (Parents are TBD). Queens Village Dayton is excited for Black Maternal Health Week 2023! Black Maternal Health Week, BMHW, is a week-long campaign founded and led by Black Mamas Matter Alliance, BMMA, to build awareness, activism, and community-building to amplify the voices, perspectives, and lived experiences of Black Mamas and birthing people held annually on April 11th – 17th. This year’s theme is “Our Bodies Belong to Us: Restoring Black Autonomy and Joy”. In collaboration with the Local Office of Minority Health, Queens Village Dayton hopes to stand with BMMA by hosting events throughout the week that build awareness, and activism, by creating a space for Black women to relax, repower, and rise.
