As a valued employer in the community, we would like to invite you to participate in a job fair that has proven to be a tremendous opportunity for both local businesses and youth. On April 17, 2023, American International College will be hosting the 7th annual Hoop Up Springfield event, sponsored by Hampden District Attorney, Anthony Gulluni, and supported by Mayor Dominic Sarno. This day-long event may bring local youth in the door via basketball but goes far beyond by providing the opportunity for them to interact with and apply directly to our community employers for summer jobs. Student-athletes tend to be hardworking, take direction well, know how to work in a team environment, and understand the value of working toward a common goal. A highlight of the event will be the job fair from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. By hiring local youth for summer jobs, you will not only satisfy your staffing needs but also play an important role in a much bigger community initiative. You will be keeping our youth constructively engaged during the summer while providing them with skills, experience, and connections they’ll carry with them into adulthood.
