Description

The Shames JCC on the Hudson is proud to offer our first in person Healing Workshop in partnership with COPE. When grieving, people often follow an innate desire to be outdoors, go on long walks, spend time in the garden, or visit the ocean. These instincts to be with nature are important to follow. Time in wild places, even your yard, is a tonic for a troubled heart. In this 90-minute workshop* learn what to do when you're out there to optimize the healing benefits. You'll learn simple mindfulness techniques, easy-to-replicate ways to engage your senses, and spiritual connection practices, offering gentle pathways to peace and healing. *Please bring something that you will be comfortable sitting on outdoors. This can be a beach chair, blanket, yoga mat, etc. Disclaimer: The information shared in this program is not intended to act as a substitute for any legal and mental health advice concerning individual situations; neither the Shames JCC or COPE, its Board of Directors, staff and personnel shall be responsible for any outcomes arising from any information or exercises provided in this program.
