Join us for a fun day of volunteering to celebrate Earth Month!
The Philipstown Town Hall has a small public pollinator garden that generated public interest and served as a catalyst for other pollinator gardens in the town. The Philipstown Climate Smart Task Force aims to support pollinators by expanding the garden to include a wider variety of native plants and to involve community volunteers in planting and maintaining the garden. The Community Pollinator Gardening Celebration will take place on Earth Day, where volunteers will plant a variety of young native plant species, mulch and water the garden, and include at least one pollinator-friendly tree. Experts will present information on garden layout, plant species, pollinator range, and maintenance, and share information about upcoming educational events, gardening support, and volunteer opportunities.
