About our featured women entrepreneur, Fran Harris: In 2021, Fran Harris appeared on ABC’s Emmy award-winning business reality show, SHARK TANK, debuting ELECTRAⓇ, her premium, better-for-you electrolyte drink, but Fran Harris has been a champion on and off the court for more than 30 years. A native of Dallas, Texas, Fran’s adventurous and multi-faceted professional career started as an award-winning sales career at Procter & Gamble that quickly transitioned into success as a business consultant, real estate developer, television personality, and filmmaker. Her recently released her novel, Houston By Morning, which is the first fiction book published that’s set in the world of women’s professional basketball. A former HGTV host, former ESPN announcer, and author of 20+ books, Fran’s appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNBC, MSNBC, BET, CNN and many other networks. Her next film, A LEAGUE OF OUR OWN, a documentary about women’s professional basketball, premieres in 2023. She’s the co-founder of The Athletic Club, a portfolio of indoor and outdoor multi-sports complexes in Texas. In November 2023, she will reprise the Black Millionaires Summit, a weekend business and wealth-building event she created, hosted and produced in 2008. In 2024, she launches the first annual ELECTRA FEST, a global girls and women’s sports film festival whose mission is to amplify and celebrate girls and women fitness, wellness & sports stories around the world.
