Seven Stars Arts Center is offering ongoing classes in swing dance instruction with Gina Sonne, focusing on the Lindy Hop. Sliding scale $10-$15 per person, paying at the door. No partner required. We are asking folks to pre-register so we know how many participants to expect. On this date starting at 6:15 Gina will spend about 15 minutes showing some YouTube videos so folks can get a flavor for the dance form and its history. Gina Sonne has been teaching social waltz for 12 years in Thetford and Norwich. Her life long love of dance grew with a major in dance from Adelphi University and study at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. The discovery of Social Waltz and Lindy Hop and Blues at the Dance Flurry continue to inspire her to teach these American dance genres to our local community. She believes in the power of dance to bring joy and strengthen community spirit.
