Description

Welcome to the 31st Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day presented by WorldBeat Cultural Center! This year's event, taking place on April 23, 2023, is centered around the themes of Climate Resilience and Food Sovereignty. We are thrilled to have a fantastic lineup of keynote speakers, including Mariko Gifford, founder of Moringa for Life and advocate for the San Luis Rey Watershed Council, Marilu Lopez Fretts, photojournalist and project assistant for the Celebrate Urban Project, Yah’ki Awakened, master herbalist, holistic teacher, musician, and positive speaker, Isaac Diaz, founder of Soil for Terra, and students from the Youth4Climate program. In addition to the presentations, we are excited to offer live music performances by talented artists such as Andrew Bees from Black Uhuru, Zivanai Masango, Rob Symeonn, Intent, Quinto Sol, Empress Akua, Sol Remedy, and more. The Native American Drum by Tim Red Bird and the Red Warriors will also add to the cultural experience. Don't miss out on the WBC multi-cultural class showcase, featuring Japanese Taiko by San Diego Taiko, Middle-Eastern Drumming and Belly Dance by Cairo Beats, West African Drum and Dance, Angola Capoeira by Silvestre, Afrobeat Dance by Stephanie O, and Brazilian Samba. Take a stroll through our Healing Garden, where you can swap seeds, birdwatch, experience the power of plant music, and take part in various healing modalities. This is a free event for all families and all cultures, where we come together for one people and one planet. Join us in celebrating WorldBeat Cultural Center's 34th birthday and the 31st Annual Multi-Cultural Earth Day.
