Substance Use Disorder (SUD) impacts so many people, including their family and friends. It is critical that ALL health care professional remain up to date about best practice in this area. Sponsored by the Nursing Department at Methodist University, this HRSA grant funded workshop will provide six hours of FREE continuing education for nurses and lunch will be provided. We will meet in the PA (Physician Assistant) Medical Lecture hall on our campus. Your confirmation email will provide a link to our campus map. Speakers include: Dr. Susan Little, Chief Public Health Nursing Officer of North Carolina; Paul Nagy LCMHC, LCAS, CCS, Duke University; Kristin Briggs MSN - Director, Public Health Nursing Institute for Continuing Excellence (PHNICE);Mitzi Averette, MSN, CNE - Nursing Faculty in long term recovery/scholastic recovery advocate; and Dr. Shannon Matthews, Director of the MU Nursing Program.
