Description

Come experience the power of a gong bath and crystal bowls on June 6 at 7:00 p.m. in Brevard. Certified yoga instructors Betsy Perry and Karen DeVault are bringing this sound healing offering to Elk Haven Wellness Center at a donation-based event. Did you know that the sound of the gong affects every cell in your body creating balance on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels? Have you ever wondered what the meaning is of “In the beginning was the Word…” ? What does science now tell us about this ancient technology? Arising from their yogic training and personal experience, Betsy Perry and Karen DeVault will offer a bit of the history of sound healing from both yogic and religious traditions. Betsy will warm us up with some gentle movements and breathing. Karen will play the gong, bathing us in deep vibrational sound, and finish with crystal bowls. No yoga experience is necessary! You may bring your own yoga mat or chairs will be available for you to relax into. You may wish to bring a cushion and/or blanket to help you position comfortably. The 90-minute session will take place at Elk Haven Wellness Center, 100 Elks Club Road, in Brevard. There is no admission charge, but registration is required. A donation of $20 is suggested to help cover expenses for this event, in exchange for the evening's experience. When you register, please choose Admission with Donation OR Admission Without Donation. If you’d like to register now and donate at a different time (or to avoid Eventbrite service fees), donations can be made directly to Center for Spiritual Wisdom.
