Join the City of Mesa's Bicycle and Pedestrian Program for Mesa Bike to Work Day 2023 on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. The annual event encourages commuters to bike to work (or wherever they need to go), helping save money, improve health and lower stress levels — all while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. We are excited to announce that 2023 will be the first year the event will be open to anyone who lives, works, or enjoys spending time in Mesa. You can join the group ride (details below) - OR - Bike directly to the celebration located at the Plaza at Mesa City Center (56 Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85201). The first 300 to RSVP and check in at Mesa Bike to Work Day Celebration will receive: A limited-edition Mesa Bike to Work Day 2023 T-shirt designed by local artist Jayarr Steiner. Breakfast voucher to use that morning at one of two food trucks: Green Chile Love or Roots n' Bloom Juicery Plus, all attendees can enjoy: Music from a local DJLive painting by Jayarr SteinerA photo booth stationLight stretches led by yoga instructor Bry'Anne Hill at 8 AMComplimentary coffee and tea provided by Downtown RendezvousFREE safety gear* from the City of Mesa's Bicycle and Pedestrian ProgramThe return of the Green Expo with helpful tips to help prepare you for Earth Day (on Saturday, April 22, 2023). Group Ride Details: 6:45 AM - Meet up at Lehi Sports Park: 2228 N. Center Street (Mckellips/Center ) 7:15 AM - Roll out for a 2.9-mile group ride down Center Street 7:35 AM - Arrive at the Mesa Bike to Work Day Celebration Safety Tips for Participation:Wear appropriate attire.Follow all traffic laws.Cross at intersections.Look both ways before entering the street.Scan the area as you cross the road. Be alert! Avoid wearing headphones or looking at your phone so you can be aware of what is happening around you.
