No grocery stores nearby? Prices out of control? Freshness lacking? Over the last six months, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga and Crabtree Farms partnered to organize community listening sessions in neighborhoods experiencing food apartheid (food deserts) and with local food producers. The aim of these sessions was to engage residents and document community perspectives on fresh food access. Join us Wednesday, May 3rd in the Tennessee Room at UTC's University Center as the trends and themes of these listening sessions are presented and engage in discussions on how current challenges can be addressed.
