The University of Wisconsin-Madison Prevention Research Center (UWPRC) invites students, staff, and faculty to join us for a free viewing of the film BIRTHING JUSTICE and collectively discuss the upcoming UWPRC project transforming birthing equity in our community on April 27, 2023 between 12:00-2:30 PM in Room 1345 Health Sciences Learning Center. BIRTHING JUSTICE is a documentary that flips the victim-blaming narrative by centering the lived experiences of Black women and their advocates as they fix a broken system one birth at a time. A collective breath will be taken together at the end of the film, followed by a panel discussion. Information on the future UWPRC project combating maternal mortality in Wisconsin communities will be presented . All are welcome. We look forward to seeing you and creating a just future together!
