Blandford Cemetery is home to many unique headstones and monuments. As your guide walks you though the cemetery you will learn about some of the tombstones' symbolism.
During Colonial times, death was feared and tombstones reflected this with sculls, bones, and skeletons. In Victorian Age cemeteries became park-like places for contemplation and mortuary art. Come learn about these fascinating works of art.
Tour will take about an hour and involve walking though grass and uneven ground. Please wear proper shoes. Not wheelchair accessible. No benches available during tour.
