Did you know that April is "Stress Awareness Month"? Stress Awareness Month was originally started to create awareness about the effects of stress and help manage stress in the workplace. So many of us are juggling our home and family life along with managing a business... sometimes even while working an 8 to 5 full-time job, or caring for a sick or elderly loved one as well. No wonder we're stressed!
While not all stress is bad, long-term stress can have an extremely negative impact on our mental and physical health. It's important to recognize what stress and anxiety looks like, and then take the steps to build resilience and manage it before it takes a toll on our mind and bodies.
Our own Franklin Business Center client and guru, Sandra Herek of Ignite Best Practices, LLC will lead our Stress Management "Lunch & Learn" workshop on April 27th from 11:30AM - 1:00PM. We will learn about stress, its impact on the body and mind, effects on our work and home life, and easy action steps we take to manage it, and practice self-care every day!
Don't forget to bring a healthy sack-lunch, and we will provide fresh veggies and bottled water. Also...Do you have a great stress-management hack that works well for you? We'd love you to share your ideas during the Q&A!
