This workshop is for you if you want to: • Create a beautiful flower themed cheese board for your home or as a present • Learn the secrets of working with epoxy resin • Create art while enjoying beautiful views of the Flower fields – a unique experience! We will start with setting an intention for our boards so you can create not only a beautiful but also a meaningful piece of art. After that, our experienced art instructor will share with you all their secrets on how to work with epoxy resin, which pigments to choose, how to create a beautiful background, layer dried flowers and stones to create a masterpiece. We will be covering about one third or half (maximum) of the board with epoxy, the other part will stay uncovered so you can use for food presentations. You'll create a Charcuterie board or a 3-piece set: a Charcuterie board and 2 coasters. Preparation of your project - Introduction to Art Resin. • What epoxy to choose for your project • Qualities and criteria of epoxy resin • Rules and directions • Working with a heat gun and torch • Safety rules and PPE. • Preparation of your board: cleaning, taping, leveling • Intention Setting. Creating your personal artefact • Working with paints, micas, pastes and liquid pigments • Creating an amazing flower inspired epoxy resin décor on your board • Blending the colors • Pouring techniques • Adding dry flowers and stones Choices for the boards: • Olive wood board, 13” by 7.5” • Acacia wood board with a handle,17” by 8” • Add 2 coasters to any of these We use only use non-toxic epoxy (when used as directed) that is not bad for your health like other resins. No VOCs. No fumes. No solvents. Non-flammable. Non-hazardous. Conforms to ASTM D4236 (Safe for Home Use when used in a well ventilated area). The workshop lasts for about 2hrs.
