A Brighter Education for Dyslexia will be presenting the Pat Barker scholarship recipient for Spring 2023. The speaker of this event will be SBOE member Dr. Audrey Young. This grassroots nonprofit was founded in 2014 and has been serving families in the North Houston area for eight years. A Brighter Education for Dyslexia’s mission is "to Empower, Educate and Instill Hope to families affected by Dyslexia". The organization’s services include educational settings led by experts in our community to inform families on how to navigate a successful journey with dyslexia as well as personalized individual consulting for their student’s 504/ARD meetings.
