McFerrin Methods are 1-hour bite-sized workshops that introduce you to principles of entrepreneurship, business, leadership, and more. Each session features a guest speaker who is a successful entrepreneur themselves so that you know you’re receiving real advice that will make a real impact on your own business or entrepreneurial journey. McFerrin Methods are the perfect way to polish your skills and knowledge while making connections with other entrepreneurs. Robert Irving '14Oftentimes, entrepreneurs discover their passion and drive for business after working for someone else or spending years climbing the corporate ladder, but not Robert Irving '14. An entrepreneur at heart and a leader by nature, Robert has embodied the entrepreneurial mindset through his extensive history of business acquisition, development and selling. In this edition of McFerrin Methods, you will hear the entrepreneurial story of this fellow Aggie and how he leveraged his core skills and business knowledge to pursue a successful career acquiring and selling businesses after leaving Texas A&M. You will also learn how his accessible approach to a unique facet of entrepreneurship and how it can alter the trajectory of your business plans. Today, Robert Irving has founded two successful businesses and serves as the Regional Vice President for Summit Fire & Security. Robert also serves as an Aggie Angel Investor. Not only will Robert share insights as to how he got to where he is today, he will provide you with key takeaways from his own experience in leading successful companies that can help you navigate your own path to acquisition in business. These thought-provoking meetings provide an opportunity to network with entrepreneurial-minded individuals as well as expand your knowledge base. Workshops are open to Texas A&M current students, faculty, staff, and the local Bryan/College Station community. Registration is required.
