Pie & AI is a series of DeepLearning.AI meetups independently hosted by community groups. This event is hosted by Shilpi Agarwal and DataEthics4All Foundation. Special thanks to their support! DataEthics4All Community is FREE to join and home to Data and AI Professionals from 55 Countries. It is also the first platform to host Ethics 1st Data and AI Challenges where High School Students can earn Volunteer Hours for their Community Service and if eligible also earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. DataEthics4All Foundation's STEAM in AI is raising the next generation of Ethics 1st Engineers, Doctors, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Architects, Policy Makers and more with hands-on Project based Career Mentoring in Data and AI Ethics for High School Students. Event Agenda & Speakers: Shilpi Agarwal Founder and CEO, DataEthics4All Foundation Shilpi Agarwal is a mission driven data philanthropist and a prominent early voice in the tech ethics and data privacy evolution. She is the Founder and CEO of DataEthics4All Foundation on a mission to raise the next generation of Ethics 1st Data and AI Champions. She's a technologist with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology and a graduate degree in Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. Former Adjunct Faculty at Stanford, University of California at Berkeley, and MIT $100K Launch Mentor. Shilpi is a proud recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service award, Women Leaders in Data and AI Award Finalist 2022, an invite only member at the World Economic Forum’s Responsible Use of Technology Initiative and an AI Ambassador for the Deeplearning.AI Community founded by Andrew Ng. Karina Montilla Edmonds, PhD SVP, Global Head of Academies and University Alliances, SAP Dr. Karina Montilla Edmonds is a globally recognized visionary leader in the field of innovation, technology transfer, and commercialization. She currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Academies and University Alliances at SAP, a multinational software corporation with offices worldwide. Prior to joining SAP, Karina was the Global Lead for Cloud AI at Google where her primary role was to facilitate research collaborations in AI between Google Cloud and top academic researchers. Karina came to Google from California Institute of Technology where she served as executive director for corporate partnerships; and previously served at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory which is operated by Caltech for NASA. She also worked in the Obama administration, where she was appointed the first technology transfer coordinator at the U.S. Department of Energy and served as a member of the White House Speaker Bureau to promote STEM careers to women and girls. Karina earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Aeronautics from California Institute of Technology and her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Rhode Island. She has been a life-long advocate for women and historically underrepresented minorities in STEM fields.
