Do you have a passion for volunteering, advocating, and socializing with like-minded individuals who are committed to making the world a better place? Apparo's Philanthropic Leadership Society (PLS) could be the ideal community you have been seeking. We are excited to connect with you to share information about Apparo and our commitment to our community, at a very special field trip. The mission of Apparo is to improve lives and transform our community by serving the needs of other nonprofits - we are a nonprofit for nonprofits! Over the past two decades, we have provided services to over 750 esteemed organizations in our city, addressing critical issues across various mission areas such as hunger, homelessness, animal welfare, and the arts. Regardless of the cause you are passionate about, Apparo is dedicated to supporting your favorite charitable organization by enhancing their operational efficiency and effectiveness through the application of technology. We have proven that technology and passion can change the world and we invite you to join us for our first PLS social event of 2023 - an enjoyable "field trip" where we will gather on the campus of an amazing nonprofit we have served through our Tech Therapy, Education, and Community Impact Projects. AGENDA: We hope you can join us for all or part of our event! 5:30p - 7p: Meet at the nonprofit, CAMINO (127 Stetson Drive, view The WearHouse and then walk 100 yards to Camino Chapel) to meet and mingle with other like-minded individuals. We will hear a few words about Apparo and then take a tour of this incredible campus that services the Latino immigrant community here in Charlotte. We will be introduced to some of their programs, such as the Food Farmacy, Health Center, and The Wearhouse, a thrift store where the community can "shop" for home goods, clothing, and other necessities. 7p - 8pm: Head over to Armored Cow Brewery (8821 J. W. Clay Blvd, Unit #1), where we have reserved the private area in the back, for additional socializing, brews and food truck delights. As a bonus, Apparo will be buying the first drink for anyone who brings an item to be donated to The Wearhouse or who donates to Apparo at the event.
