Families for a Livable Climate and Home ReSource are excited to invite youth ages 14-18 to a FREE two-day Youth Climate Leadership Workshop in Missoula! Join us in the Home ReSource Community Room at 1515 Wyoming St. on April 14 & 15 from 10am - 3pm (lunch included!) to explore your strengths, discover new changemaking skills, and engage in climate action in Montana. Register at bit.ly/grow-your-roots.
This workshop pairs hands-on, immersive exercises with practical advocacy skills training to equip high schoolers with the experience, knowledge, and empowerment needed to get involved in the climate movement and meaningfully advocate for change. Utilizing the research and framework of climate leaders including Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, Katharine Hayhoe, and Citizens Climate Lobby, this training encourages students to leverage their own strengths, values, and personal story to meet the needs of their community. It will cover internal, relational, communal, and economic dimensions of action and change, meeting students where they are at and incorporating examples and opportunities relevant to them.
Space is limited, so please sign up at bit.ly/grow-your-roots by April 7. If you have questions please contact [email protected] or [email protected].
We can't wait to learn and grow our roots together!
