In 1996, a small group of Redding doctors and medical professionals had the idea to encourage women to do their Breast Self-Exams, and to get mammograms by handing out educational bags. From that simple beginning, grew the national awareness event that is held every October. Nor-Cal Think Pink (NCTP) was born of that idea and is still in existence today! We are dedicated to continuing the original mission of raising breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection through education. We are also evolving to include new programs, such as Mobile Mammography in outlying areas, and the Breast Cancer Detection Fund through MD Imaging to help patients with diagnostic expenses. Our goal is to provide awareness and support through every aspect of breast cancer detection. In order to achieve this goal, we need the support of the communities we serve. Please join us for this fundraising event. Attendance is free for all ages. There will be Food Trucks, Craft Booths, and Health Information Booths. The fee to register a vehicle is $20. Awards will be given to "Best of Show", "Best Classic Truck", "Best Classic Car", "Best Rat Rod", "Best Motorcycle", and "Best Think Pink Theme Vehicle". All funds raised by the car show will be disbursed with 50% going to Nor-Cal Think Pink and 50% going towards the Mobile Mammography program. The Mobile Mammography program helps individuals who live in the outlying counties of Northern California.
