Because Faith and Spirituality are significant protective factors for individuals and for the communities in which they live, Jacobs Ladder Consulting, LLC is partnering with NAMI-Moultrie and The Yellow Elephant to host "We 4-C Healing," a Faith Leaders Behavioral Health Luncheon in Southwest Georgia on May 25, 2023.
Funded by a grant through the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), this event is offered at no cost. Registration is required to ensure adequate lunches for all attendees.
The event objectives are:
To provide awareness and education about DBHDD, its faith initiatives, and practical information about behavioral health for faith leaders.To hear various perspectives on how engagement with behavioral health challenges have looked in faith communities.To provide and elicit practical suggestions from within your community on how using Compassion, Connection, Collaboration, and Conversation can help faith leaders move forward in reducing stigma and productively dealing with behavioral health challenges in their respective communities.The keynote speaker will be Chaplain Lou Koon, Founder of Armed Forces Mission.
