White Harvest Farms is offering a Compost 101 class to teach you everything you need to know to start composting at home. Compost is a valuable resource for home gardeners. Making compost helps reduce the amount of waste going into landfills and recycles valuable resources. It also helps to inoculate your soil with beneficial organisms which reduces the need for fertilizers and pesticides in the garden. Whether you are an experienced composter or a novice our farmers can help you take your home composting to the next level. Bring your questions and our farmers will have an answer! We pride ourselves on engaging a community of people interested in sustainable agriculture and who want to do good for their community. Maybe you have a home garden, or are looking to start a community garden in your neighborhood. This class is just for you. Youth and adults are welcome to participate!
