This semester undergraduate the students in this course have been studying the Jewel Theater and were tasked with working in teams to develop reuse concepts that connect back to the Jewel's rich history. Students have been learning about themes related to restorative justice, community engagement, preservation, and cultural assets to help inform their projects. They've also engaged with NE OKC community leaders and allies to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and needs within the community. On Thursday May 4th at 3:00 pm, students will be sharing their work and findings with the NEOKC community at the Auditorium at the Douglass. Come out and hear about their ideas and support our next generation of urbanists! Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
