Starts Monday, May 15th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for six weeks)
Class dates: 5/15, 5/22 & 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26. There is no class on May 29th (Memorial Day).
NOTE: Masks are optional for this series.
This series will delve into the alchemy of silversmithing, introducing participants to the fundamentals of chain making, prong setting, and hollow forms with independent project planning. Through lectures, handouts and demonstrations, students will discover the secrets of jewelry crafting and learn how to apply design principles to their work. With knowledge of basic metalworking, participants will gain a deeper understanding of jewelry making and how to apply design principles to their creations.
Fee does not include materials. The materials fee for this class will be contingent upon students' design focus and will range between $50-$75 depending on material and project choices.
Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200.
Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens.
