Jim Moody, MA, CNBC will offer a practical view of “Purpose Driven Leadership”, which centers on key principles that should drive every individual who serves within the nonprofit sector. You are encouraged to join with fellow colleagues in this engaging session to strategize how best to expand your reach. James (Jim) Moody, MA, CNBC serves as the Partner Development and Relationship Manager with the Edyth Bush Institute at Rollins College. Serving with the Institute since 2016, Jim has enjoyed many successes in collaborating with organizations throughout the Southeast. He has established a solid reputation driving impact, learning and education for multiple constituencies. With extensive expertise in strategy, governance and operational excellence, Jim excels as an instructor, facilitator and coach for nonprofits dedicated to maximizing organizational purpose. Jim began a successful management career with the Mobil Oil Corporation. After assignments in finance, contract management and executive leadership at locations throughout the country, Jim transitioned to serve the public sector in 1997 to begin NY Connects in Orleans County, New York, a system of information and referral for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Since then, Jim has served at an executive level for ten years. With an authentic history leading nonprofit organizations while also productively managing all aspects of business, Jim is now compelled to make a difference through partner development, education, and training. A gifted speaker to local and national audiences, Jim presented at the 41st Annual Conference on Management & Executive Development on the intersect between open enrollment and custom program platforms. Jim has also rendered expertise at events hosted by the Florida Alliance of Community Development Corporations, Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, and the United Way of Indian River County. Known for discretion and uncompromised judgment, Jim is well educated, earning a master’s degree in theology from Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College. He also received bachelor’s degrees from both Johnson & Wales University and Springfield College. Jim completed a professional development experience for Nonprofit Executives at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York and holds a Certificate in Proposal Writing from the Edyth Bush Institute at Rollins College. Most recently, Jim earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Board Consulting from Boardsource, a nationally recognized leader in Board of Director Education. Jim proudly serves as Treasurer of the Board for the Center for Independent Living in Central Florida.
