Curious about Yin Yoga but nervous to just “drop-in” to a class? Already love Yin Yoga but want to deepen your understanding of this wonderful practice? This workshop is for you! This meditative and slow-paced style of yoga helps you recharge by using floor-based poses that are held for several minutes and target the body’s deep connective tissues. The first part of this workshop provides an introduction to the main principles of Yin Yoga, its physical and mental benefits, and the various uses of props (including blankets, blocks, and bolsters) in order to customize and accommodate postures for your unique anatomy. In the second part, we’ll put theory into practice with a magical Yin Yoga class featuring fundamental yin poses. Leave this workshop with a newfound appreciation for the role of gentle movement to support your health and wellness goals!
Additional details: props will be provided but please bring your own mat if you have one. Please arrive early to settle in and wear comfortable layered clothing that allows free range of motion and socks. All levels welcome!
