Description

Buen dia mi gente! Bronx Bori Hiking Guide #9208 is back at it with the monthly hikes. Come join us for a dope hike at the Marshlands Conservancy on Sunday, April 2nd. Marshlands Conservancy website - https://marshlandsconservancy.org/ For those who don't know me, hi! My name is Stephanie (she/her) and I am born and raised in The Bronx, NY. For the past 3 years, I've been honoring the Lenape land we occupy thru free hikes in NYC, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley for friends, family, and friends and friends. I just became a licensced hiking guide (my guide number is 9208) with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (eeeeep!!!!) Super excited to continue leading folks out into nature and to show people that there are TONS of hiking groups out there to make more friendships in the outdoors! All hikes will continue to be free. (But I wouldn't say no if ya wanted to throw some dollars my way so I can get some lunch heh heh venmo is @stephanie_caban BUT TOTALLY NOT NECESSARY!) Feel free to follow me on IG to learn more about me and other groups in the area: _stephanie_ashley Marshlands Conservancy is a 3-4 mile loop with a relatively easy incline, paths are pretty straight and smooth with some hills. Elevation gain of 127 feet. It's a popular trail and I saw a good deal of wildlife when I was there last month (birds of many different colors, deer, etc). It's a marsh y'all so it might get a tad bit wet at points, but it's also a great place to be near nature and water. I will be leaving from the Fordham MetroNorth station on the 9:54am train, feel free to ride with me or meet us at the Harrison train station! The start of the trail is a 1 mile walk from the Harrison train station. Sign up to recieve more details about land history, what to bring, what to expect, and more details about this hike! ***For any concerns leading up to this hike, feel free to message me on Instagram @_stephanie_ashley or email me at [email protected]
