SPARKS is a 2 day retreat for teachers in their first 5 years of teaching who want to learn more about their profession, the Association, and build relationships with other teachers who are at the same point in their careers. It’s an interactive, hands-on adventure. It is a way for you to connect with each other and with the IEA. It is an experience designed to “spark” your interest and develop skills you can use in your classroom, in your local Association, and in your life! (Ok, maybe not your life, but we can talk about life if you want.) More than anything else, SPARKS gives you the chance to discuss and learn more about issues that concern you with others like you. The SPARKS agenda is based on your responses to a questionnaire. You will be part of a small group of people who are also newer members of IEA. We will be responsive to your wants, needs and desires – it’s all about you! One credit through ISU will be available. ($55.00).
