Teenage-hood is a delicate, precarious, and yet very precious time. Insert backdrop of this momentous - yet unstable and chaotic passage in evolutionary history, and the urgency to support our blossoming young women becomes paramount. The transition into womanhood through the moon cycle is one of complexity and wonder yet often times challenging to discuss with our daughters. In ancient times women of all phases of life would come together in sacred circles to explore and honor this very powerful time as it relates to our greatest gifts as women. Let’s gather for a nourishing day to connect, explore, honor and celebrate this transitional phase! In assisting our daughters to understand and embrace our monthly power-time, we are embodying a piece of the puzzle to creating healthier teenagers, healthier families and consequently a healthier society. We will learn tools to help navigate emotions, physical changes of period/moon time, relationships, and how it all relates to our communication skills. Other activities will include yoga, discussions in circle time, art, hiking and dance! This day is offered as a safe container for young ladies and mothers to express and share intimately, as well as a celebratory rites of passage out of childhood and into adolescents.
