Join the volunteers who care for the Vi Bates Woodland Wildflower Garden at Klehm and enjoy a wide variety of wildflowers in their native setting. Learn which woodland wildflowers you can use in your own shady yard. We will discuss soil, sun, and moisture requirements, unique adaptations, pollinators, and the benefits of using Illinois natives in your yard. This tour will take place off the paved path in our Wildflower Garden. This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for whatever the weather might bring. In the event of severe weather, you will be notified of any changes via email and/or phone. This guided tour is free for members and free for non-members with paid admission. Pre-registration is recommended to save your space. Walk-ins are welcome as space allows. If you are not yet a Klehm member, you will pay admission at the entry gate upon arrival.
