Gulf Bend Center is hosting a "Build Your Own Crisis Kit" event. This is a free event open to parents of individuals with an intellectual & developmental disability and/or Autism. Only the person with IDD/Autism needs to register. Participants will build their own crisis kits which will include items such as a backback, resource folder, first aid kit, headphones, popits, etc. After building the kits, participants will participate in a Meet & Greet with Victoria & Port Lavaca Police Department Officers. Next, participants can enroll their child in the VPD Jacket Program (registration in the notification system / photo will be taken). Last, participants will be able to participate in a small resource fair where they can visit local agencies to obtain information on their services and resources.
