NESSA is a conference for all SSAs and Sikh students in the New England area. It will be on April 8th from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Brown University in Alumnae Hall Crystal Room!
Goals:
Sangat: Building a stronger Sikh presence among the NE region
Education: Learning about Gurbani and activism as Sikh youth
Celebration: Celebrating Vaisakhi and our Sikh identity
Theme:
Vaisakhi: Harvesting the Eternal-Wisdom
This year's theme is on how we can understand and use the power of the Shabad in our own lives. As we celebrate the history of Vaisakhi, let us also celebrate the Guru's word.
Special Focus: Embracing the Kirpan
In light of recent unrest and violence against Sikh activists in Panjab, we will be emphasizing how we, as college students in the west, can help bring change and justice.
