Mark your calendars for the release of 10,000 Memories: A Lived Partition, a volume based on the 1947 Partition Archive. This collection of crowdsourced stories documents the first and largest pan-South Asian oral history survey ever conducted. Project Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Guneeta Singh Bhalla, will speak about the process of empowering people to record and share oral histories of one of the largest mass migrations of the 20th century. A Q&A session and discussion with invited guest experts will be followed by a meet and greet with the Dr. Singh Bhalla. Light refreshments will be served. The Center for Arts, Migration and Entrepreneurship (CAME) is proud to sponsor this event in partnership with the following organizations: Indian Cultural and Education Center (ICEC) UF Center for Study of Hindu Traditions (CHiTra) Samuel Proctor Oral History Program, UF College of Liberal Arts and Sciences UF Office of Asian Pacific Islander Desi Student Engagement UF International Center Free Parking will be available in the lot directly east of UF Innovate.
