This spring, join writer, teaching artist and yoga Kristen Zory King on a poetry hike through Rock Creek Park and experience the joy of creativity in motion. Together, we'll wander through three miles of winding trails, stopping frequently to share poems with one another as well as to spend time in creative reflection and journaling. Bring comfortable clothing, your favorite poem (or two! or three!) to share, and a notebook to jot down inspiration from the trees, the sky, and one another. Saturday, April 15 at 10:00am: Poetry Hike—Rumi Sunday, May 14 at 2:00pm: Poetry Hike—Poems of Nature and Joy Saturday, June 17 at 10:00am: Poetry Hike—Mary Oliver *We will meet at Ellē in Mt. Pleasant and then head to the Rock Creek Park entrance off of 17th St. Kris will be in touch ahead of time with more details, including rain date if applicable. Please note: there are a few steep hills in the trail. Financial assistance available as well as ticket transfers (refunds not available at this time).
