Bob Margolin is a Steady Rollin’ Blues guitar player and singer who tours worldwide with his band, solo, or as a featured guest. He delivers original songs and the spirit of Chicago Blues that he learned on stage and recording in Muddy Waters’ band from 1973-1980. You can see him with Muddy and The Band in the Last Waltz film from 1976 all the way to live in the all-star 2022 Last Waltz tour with Warren Haynes and other superstars. Bob is known for his slide guitar, powerful vocals, and the sound, stories, and time travel of his experiences with the legends he knew. Bob has a special connection with the Colorado Blues scene. Last year he jammed with Colorado Blues superstars, Rex Peoples, Erika Brown, Joe Schicke, and many rising stars. His band includes Al Chesis, Alyssa Chesis, and Willie Panker. Guest Alfonzo: Alfonzo is an R&B and Soul band that is fronted by one of today’s greatest performers, who is also the band’s namesake, Alfonzo, which features a core lineup as well as many additional collaborators. The band is comprised of some of the best musicians around including keyboardists Ian Arras and Erique Johnson and drummer Adam Darby. Alfonzo began in 2018 and has gone on to play all across the United States and has received airplay in Canada. Currently the band is working on a debut album. Alfonzo is known for having a very energetic and dynamic live show that has never failed to spark movement on the dance floor. The band brings an authentic feeling of magic and spirituality to the audience, some energy that can’t be faked or replaced. Many people have referred to front man Alfonzo’s style of performance as if he is possessed by spirits of soul. In addition, the band has a very natural flow and ability to improvise off each other, which can be attributed to the fact that the band is like a very close and supportive family. Throughout the time the band has been together, Alfonzo has traveled to Memphis twice to showcase their talent at the International Blues Challenge, as well as having graced the stage at The Big Blues Bender, Blues From The Top, and also having opened for southern soul band Southern Avenue.
