Please join us for the Third Annual Portsmouth Area MWR/CGMA Color Rush! For the first time ever, ALL members of the community are invited to join us on a 5K fun run/walk across base - wear a white t-shirt, but don’t expect to leave that way! Work your way through color stations where volunteers will splatter you with colorful, eco-friendly powder. Afterwards, stay for the Community Expo, tour the Coast Guard Base, get a photo on a real Coast Guard boat, visit local business booths and see what other fun surprises we have in store! Registration is OPEN to ALL. That's right! Feel free to bring your civilian friends with you to base to celebrate and see what the Coast Guard has to offer ! Non-Military families: Welcome to base! Base access will open to you at 10:00 a.m. Use this time to learn more about the Coast Guard, take a tour of a cutter, and see our beautiful campus (Please pardon our construction - it's your tax dollars at work!). ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RUN. Early registration** (1MAR-14APR): $20/person or $15/child(Ages 5-12). Late Registration** (15APR-28APR): $25/person or $20/ child (Ages 5-12). **Military Members will enjoy a discount when registering on this site For everyone's safety, all children must be accompanied by a registered adult at all times while onboard USCG Base Portsmouth. If you have been convicted of a major crime, access to Base Portsmouth may be denied. For question regarding base access please call 757-638-2785.
