In 2017 a friendly debate between two neighbors over BBQ and whose was the best sparked an idea. After many discussions and debates they decided the best way to settle their differences was to test their skills in a friendly BBQ competition. Sienna BBQ Throw Down (SBTD) was born. What started as a small gathering to test their skill has now turned into one of Sienna's largest events. Each year hundreds of home cooks come out to test their BBQ prowless against their neighbors and in the end, a Grand Champion Pitmaster is crowned! This event is family friendly and everyone is welcome to join! There will be a live band, entertainment for all ages, food vendors, raffle prizes, and more! SBTD is a non profit organization and all proceeds from this event are donated back into the community. By way of local sponsors and team entries SBTD is able to donate in the way of scholarships, school donations, and local community charities. The event will be held April 21st-22nd and will be located at Sawmill Lake in Sienna.
