I am a 7 year Berkeley resident and proud vegan of 6 years this October! I have traveled to veg fests from Los Angeles to Portland to Atlantic City and all the way back to our own Bay Area vegan festivals. This is the 8th vegan festival I have coordinated or helped to coordinate and have been organizing charitable events since my first clothing and toy drive at 8 years old in my hometown of Vallejo. Benefitting Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary, read more about them below! Our Beneficiary: Herd and Flock Animal SanctuaryHerd & Flock was founded to provide animals rescued from the meat, egg, and dairy industries a safe home where they can live in comfort and peace. In return, our residents can teach humans in the community about the needs of healthy, happy farm animals and can raise awareness about the individual worth and dignity of all animals. By getting to know our residents, we hope our supporters will be moved to reduce the consumption of animal products in their diet. We are advocates for plant-based diet and lifestyle.Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary rescues farm animals near Vacaville. Our 60-acre farm provides shelter, volunteer opportunities, and supports vegan lifestyles. We’ve saved 578 lives and counting including:477 HENS4 SHEEP26 RABBITS26 GEESE4 TURKEYS9 GOATS3 KITTENS6 COWS10 ROOSTERS10PIGS3 DOGSAs a local nonprofit, every donation counts. Your gifts support our mission of advocating for changes to current animal agricultural practices, caring for farm animals, and educating people to reduce their reliance on animal products. Donations help us to care for the HERDS of cows, goats and pigs as well as FLOCKS of chickens and guinea fowl.Did you know? Medical and veterinary expenses are the biggest cost to the sanctuary.
